Thanks for your interest in a CommonGround workshop!  We will not be facilitating workshops from September 6th until September 27th as we train new staff and facilitators.  We will be conducting intake meetings and preparing for workshops throughout the month of September for workshops that occur after September 27th.  We look forward to receiving your requests!

5. You will be contacted to meet with a Programming Team member to go over the details of your request. For student organizations, we encourage two (2) members to attend this meeting. In order to prepare your workshop by your preferred date, this meeting needs to happen in a timely manner. We appreciate your cooperation in this. Please, list your detailed meeting availability for the next five (5) business days.

Before you submit your request, please review:

  • The general purpose of these workshops is to create interactive spaces to engage in dialogue about social justice and social identity. If your organization is seeking mediation, the Office of Student Conflict Resolution (www.oscr.umich.edu) or Student Activities and Leadership's Student Organization Support (http://www.lso.umich.edu/sOrgs/sos.html) can serve as resources.
  • Requests must be submitted three (3) weeks prior to the intended workshop date.
  • We will verify that we can provide your workshop only once we have confirmed facilitators' availability.
