Graduate students have the opportunity to collaborate as Graduate
Student Instructors (GSIs) in upper level seminars with faculty
and student affairs professionals. Graduate students chosen as GSIs
with IGR have demonstrated aptitude and experience with social justice
education.
Also, consider becoming a CommonGround
workshop facilitator. This is a new and exciting facilitation opportunity
that extends outside of the classroom.
Other opportunities for graduate students include positions in
coursepack and curriculum development, graders for final dialogue
papers, internships or field placements for graduate and professional
programs, and research assistants in the on-going evaluation of
IGR practices. IGR also offers training in multicultural teaching
to GSIs in various departments on campus. Graduate students are
encouraged to take advantage of IGR's consulting services.
