Growing Allies encourages and motivates University of Michigan constituents to reflect and push their related learning edges on the concept of social justice allyhood through workshops, programming, marketing campaigns, technological networking resources, and more. Growing Allies reaches the broader University of Michigan community, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff. The program focuses on both engaging those who are already involved in social justice and ally development, as well as those who have never thought about their role in social justice. Growing Allies views allyhood as a process and recognizes great value in networking people who are engaged in that process. With a visible and symbolic community of social justice allies, the campus climate will become safer and more comfortable for individuals with a variety of social identities. 	Get Involved A Partner in CHANGE or Ally is someone who cares about the fair treatment of everyone. They are committed to helping end discrimination/mistreatment and to interrupting offensive or risky actions or comments. Through behaviors, interactions, or symbolic gestures, allies express this commitment and show their support. Being an ally is a process as the needs and issues of communities change over time.
